Grand Park Orchard Singapore has opened, assuming its place as the Park Hotel Group’s flagship property.
Emerging from an S$80 million (US$59 million) make over of the former Park Hotel Orchard, the 308-room hotel is located along the iconic Orchard Road and is within walking distance of two major mass rapid transport stations, Orchard and Somerset. It’s also a short taxi ride to the newly opened Marina Bay Sands complex. It features a herringbone-design glass facade that doubles as a media wall and incorporates the four-storey podium, called Knightsbridge.
Most of the guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and come with amenities such as internet access, a 40-inch Bang & Olufsen LCD TV, Herman Miller desk chairs, personal PCs with all-in-one printer, scanner and fax. Corporate guests will enjoy the privileges of the Crystal Club, located on the 11th floor.
Room categories consist of Deluxe, Premier, Crystal Deluxe, Crystal Premier, Park Suites and the Presidential Suite. The hotel’s premier rooms have not yet been rolled out but are expected to open at the latest, early September.
The lobby is on level four where the outdoor pool, spa, meeting rooms and F&B outlets – Champagne Bar, all-day dining Open House, Onyx Bar – are also located.
At press time, there were promotional rates until November 30 for the Deluxe and Premier guestrooms. For Deluxe, the price is S$368 (US$273) including free internet access, free local calls, free non-alcoholic minibar items and free one-way airport transfer. For Premier, the price is S$388 (US$288) including the same perks mentioned previously. These rates are different during the F1 Night Race from September 23 to 27.
The Park Hotel Group’s current portfolio also includes two more hotels in Singapore, three in China, one in Hongkong and one in Japan.
