Cathay Pacific (CX) customers can now make changes to their online bookings without having to go through reservation offices or travel agents.
The new service enables them to change or re-issue their tickets on CX's website, www.cathaypacific.com through its Calendar Display feature. It allows them to choose alternative flights or travel dates and applies to all e-tickets, whether unused or partially flown.
It also covers all flights, whether inbound or outbound, one-way or round trip, as well as those involving interline partners. Normal ticketing rules and Terms & Conditions still apply.
To access the booking change facility, passengers need to click on the website's "Manage My Booking" function, and then click on the "Change Booking" icon. Features include ticket eligibility checking, calendar display, re-pricing function, offers for tickets in other far groups and ability to reissue e-tickets.
Non Marco Polo or non Asia Miles members accessing this function will require their Booking Reference number, while members will simply need to log in to their accounts to change their bookings.
This online facility was first launched in the US, and will be rolled out next in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe, and by year-end, in Hongkong. It will be available in all CX markets by the second quarter of 2011.
Passengers can change their bookings online up to three hours before departure, however variations may occur depending on departure ports.
