Cebu Pacific is bound for Brunei, increases frequencies

5 Aug 2010

Philippine low-cost carrier, Cebu Pacific, will launch  direct Manila-Brunei flights on August 21, 2010, in addition to the new Manila-Beijing flights on September 6 that it announced earlier.

Its lowest year-round “Go Lite” fares for these routes are PHP2,899 (US$64) and PHP4,999 (US$110), respectively. Those with check-in luggage will just add PHP100 (US$2.20) upon booking.

It is also increasing frequencies. The current twice weekly Manila-Kota Kinabalu services will go thrice weekly starting October 20; the Manila-Taipei service will go daily from October 31; and the Cebu-Singapore service will go daily on the same day.

From December 15, Manila-Kuala Lumpur becomes 10 times weekly, then from December 19, Manila-Jakarta goes four times weekly and from January 24, 2011, Manila-Seoul goes twice daily.

The imminent arrival of three new Airbus A320 is making it possible for the carrier to expand.
