British Airways is to add the Danish capital to its growing number of routes from London City airport, with flights starting on September 12.
The new double-daily weekday service (with one flight from Copenhagen on Saturdays and one from London on Sundays) follows BA’s announcement last week of a twice-daily route from London Heathrow to Gothenburg (see online news July 20).
The Copenhagen service will be plied by BA’s new Embraer 190 aircraft, and will compete with Danish carrier Cimber Sterling on the route.
BA already serves Copenhagen from London Heathrow, as does Scandinavian carrier SAS. Other services between London and Copenhagen include Easyjet from Gatwick and Stansted, and Norwegian Air Shuttle from Gatwick.
