Beijing Airport’s Terminal 3 is to get two five-star international hotels within the space of a few weeks.
The Hilton Beijing Capital Airport hotel, just one minute from the terminal by free shuttle bus, will open its doors on July 28. The Langham Place Beijing Capital Airport hotel, opening in August, is also right next to Terminal 3.
The 322-room Hilton primarily targets business travellers, offering 24-hour catering, housekeeping, secretarial services and Wi-Fi access.
A total of 3,100sqm meeting space is available, including function rooms for business meetings, conventions and trade exhibitions.
A high-ceilinged 820sqm column-free ballroom with a 430sqm lobby for pre-convention receptions and other occasions can accommodate up to 920 people.
In addition, there are 21 high-tech meeting rooms ranging from 50sqm to 180sqm and offering the latest audio-visual equipment. A dedicated support team will help organisers.
Rooms ranging from 45sqm to 125sqm have 3.5m ceilings and soundproofed floor-to-ceiling windows and are equipped with the most up-to-date mod cons. A personal butler is offered for those using the presidential suite.
Apart from the pool, gym and spa, the hotel has six F&B outlets, from all-day dinning and snacks, to western and Chinese fine dining restaurants and a bar.
The Langham, on the other hand, will feature DJs in the lobby and position itself as “the first lifestyle hotel to open in Beijing” and wants “to revolutionise the way we see airport hotels”.
“We are not just creating a convenient stop-over hotel but one of the most fun places to be in the capital of the world’s largest nation,” said general manager Mark Francis. “We aim to make staying at the airport in Beijing an exciting thing to do.”
The 372 bedrooms ranging in size from 45sqm to 300sqm, the marble bathrooms with oversized baths and separate walk-in showers and gadgets galore will all ensure a memorable stay.
Restaurants serving international, Japanese and Chinese cuisine, a 24-hour bar and a nightclub are available for travellers with different tastes and expectations. There is a 24-hour gym and a swimming pool to follow a little later.
Langham also offers a total of 2,700sqm meeting space ranging from 40sqm to 800sqm.
The two hotels are joining the Crown Plaza Hotel International Airport Beijing, a 600-room hotel situated 3.9km from the airport and the Sino –Swiss Hotel Beijing Airport with 408 rooms and 4.8km from the airport.
