Traders Hotel, the mid-market brand of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, enters Hongkong, opening on August 1, 2010. This adds a third property to the chain's portfolio in the city, which already includes Island Shangri-La and Kowloon Shangri-La.
As reported earlier (see news), the 280-room property in the city’s Western District was previously operated as Hotel Jen.
Extensively renovated in 2008, the interiors follow a contemporary, clean style, maximising the use of space, while natural tones help highlight the extensive views of Victoria Harbour or the Peak.
Club floor guests are entitled to use the Traders Lounge on the 28th floor, providing special services such as private check-in and breakfast. After 7.30pm, the venue is made open to the public. Other facilities include Cafe 508, which provides all-day dining, the Lobby Bar and rooftop outdoor pool
To mark the launch, a two-night stay in a Superior room at HK$950 (US$122) is available from August 1 to September 30 with perks such as daily buffet breakfast for two persons, free broadband internet access and Wi-Fi and 3pm check-out.
Golden Circle members are promised more: HK$50 (US$6.40) F&B credit per day, free upgrade to the next room category and 1700 check-out. A consecutive two night stay is required to be eligible for the package. Other conditions apply.
