Long-stay visitors to Bangkok have a new accommodation option with the opening of The Kempinski Residences Siam Bangkok late next month.
The 98-unit boutique serviced apartment is adjacent to the new 303-room Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok (see news). Both properties will open on July 22 at the heart of the city centre on prime real estate surrounded by office towers and the Siam Paragon mall. It's also easily accessible to the BTS skytrain interchange station.
"Extended business trips to Bangkok, family relocations and city living can now be highly pleasurable experiences," said Thomas Klippstein, general manager of both Kempinski Residences and Siam Kempinski Hotel. "Every room has a garden view. The residences are a haven of calm as they are built around a spacious interior garden with pools and water features."
The residence product consists of 59 studio, 26 one-bedroom and 13 two-bedroom units – as well as a 260sqm penthouse – fitted with free internet access, two phone lines with voice mail, a 42-inch flatscreen LED TV with multiple international channels, DVD player and docking portals for iPods, USBs and HDMI devices.
Likewise, all units offer a well-equipped kitchen, daily food delivery service, a balcony overlooking the hotel gardens, use of the private outdoor rooftop pool, a gym and a business centre with secretarial service. The Bistro in The Residence offers all-day casual dining between 0600 and 2300.
To mark the opening, Kempinski Residences has special long-stay daily rates starting from THB2,01 (US$63) for a 44sqm studio room; THB4,00 (US$125) for an 84sqm one-bedroom unit; and THB4,883 (US$153) for a two-bedroom unit. The daily rates are inclusive of buffet breakfast and utilities such as electricity and water. The special rates apply to contract booking of one year or more.
Kempinski now has eight properties in its residences portfolio, and these are located in China, Thailand, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Turkey and Doha.
