Work on Cathay Pacific’s (CX) new lounge for First and Business class passengers at London Heathrow is progressing and opening is set for late July 2010.
At 923sqm, the facility, located in the central concourse of Terminal 3, is about 20 percent bigger than the current lounge. It will feature more seats: 49 in First (31 in the old lounge) and 136 in Business (82 in the old lounge). Windows in both sections will be oversized and look out onto the apron.
As with all other new outport lounges, the design concept mirrors The Pier in Hongkong. The Noodle Bar, only available for those travelling out of Hongkong and Taipei, will be introduced.
CX’s ground team is now working on the menu and drinks, with an a la carte menu for First class customers.
