Millennium and Copthorne launches loyalty scheme in the UK

11 Jun 2010 by BusinessTraveller

Millennium and Copthorne has launched its M&C Loyalty Club programme in the UK, allowing guests to earn points against free stays, as well as room upgrades and late check out privileges for those with Gold and Diamond tier status.

The group launched the new loyalty programme in Asia earlier this year, and has now rolled out the scheme to the UK, with Europe, the US, the Middle East and New Zealand to be added over the coming months.

Members earn two points for every US dollar spent on qualifying stays (currently only valid on stays at participating hotels in the UK and Asia) which can then be redeemed for free stays. Rates for redemption stays and upgrades are:

A superior room night stay at a Copthorne Hotel - 3,500 Loyalty Points
A superior room night stay at a Millennium Hotel - 4,600 Loyalty Points
A superior room night stay at a Grand Millennium Hotel - 5,200 Loyalty Points

A room upgrade at Copthorne Hotel - 1,600 Loyalty Points
A room upgrade at Millennium Hotel - 2,600 Loyalty Points
A room upgrade at Grand Millennium Hotel - 3,200 Loyalty Points

Millennium and Copthorne is currently offering 300 points for new members, when they stay at any participating hotel in Asia before June 30.

Entry-level Classic members will be upgraded to Gold status when they complete four or more stays during a membership year, or Diamond if they complete at least 12 stays. Both Gold and Diamond memberships are valid for two years from the date of upgrading.

Gold privileges include fast-track registration at selected hotels, 10am early check-in and 4pm late check-out subject to availability, a complimentary welcome drink and local daily paper, 20 per cent off weekend breaks for the member’s birthday, two complimentary room upgrades, and “broadband benefits”  at participating hotels.

Diamond members receive all of the above privileges, plus an extra two room upgrades, and 20 per cent off total food bills at participating hotels.
