Make the most of Summer in the City with our picks for Central London drinking and dining....

The recently-opened Park Plaza Westminster Bridge may have grabbed the limelight this year, with its 1,021 rooms and 31 meeting spaces, but there are five other Park Plaza hotels in London, and the County Hall property has just launched a second-floor open air terrace, in time for the World Cup.

Dubbed The Urban Garden, the terrace has views of the London Eye, but most eyes are likely to be fixed to the 60-inch TV which will show games over the next few weeks.

The terrace will remain open throughout the summer months, and features seating for up to 40 people, heaters and a gazebo for those typical English summer evenings. The venue can also be hired for private parties, at a cost of £500.
