ANA to fly first B787 commercial service in early 2011

4 Jun 2010

ANA, Boeing B787 launch customer, intends to deploy the aircraft on a domestic route around January 2011, after taking delivery of it by November or December of this year. Then, it will go international at the end of March in time for the airline’s summer schedule.

Potential destinations from Tokyo are Beijing, Shanghai, the US West Coast and Europe.

The fuel-efficient aircraft was originally supposed to go into service in 2008, but production hitches and a labour dispute at the Boeing Seattle plant resulted in several delays.
