The big picture: BA "keeping the flag flying"

25 May 2010 by BusinessTraveller

BA has emblazoned the sides of 12 of its aircraft with the phrase "Keeping the flag flying", as the carrier says it flew to 85 per cent of its long-haul and 100 per cent of its short-haul destinations yesterday (Monday May 24), the first day of the latest strike period by cabin crew staff.

The airline has placed the slogan on ten B777s at Heathrow and two at Gatwick. In a statement BA said:

"British Airways aircraft are having the 'Keep the flag flying' slogan painted along their fuselages to underline the message that the airline will continue to fly throughout the 15 days of strikes planned by the Unite union."
