Manchester airport to open Escape Lounge

Manchester airport will open a new lounge in Terminal 1 at the start of July, and is currently offering a 20 per cent discount on advance bookings made before June 30.

The Escape Lounge will be located opposite the Emirates lounge (click here for more details) in Terminal 1, and will open on July 1. 

Features will include The Deli, with complimentary and paid-for food and beverage choices including creamy porridge with brown sugar, handmade cumberland sausage sandwich, soup of the day, cheshire ham salad, tuna and cheddar melt (all free), and slow roasted rib eye of beef with shallots on champ potato with roasted root vegetables (£5.95), chestnut and mushroom wellington with new potatoes, fine green beans and tarragon cream (£4.50), and gourmet handmade mini burger with fries and baked beans (£2.50). Drinks including tea, coffee, fruit juice, red and white wine, beers and spirits are also complimentary, with champagnes at extra cost.

Other facilities will include a quiet area called The Hub; a games area (The Attic) with a scaletrix track and Nintendo Wii games console; a seating area going under the name of The Snug; and The Study, a meetings and business centre with free wifi access, individual laptops, and power points.

Be Relax Spa will also offer “a range of different massages, manicure, pedicure and facials in a private treatment room”, with bookings made on arrival at the lounge.

The lounge will open 0500-2100 daily, and introductory rates for bookings made by June 30 are £20 per adult (12 years and over) and £12.50 per child, inclusive of a 20 per cent discount on normal rates.
