Austrian Airlines is to relaunch flights between Vienna and Mumbai this October, a route it dropped in March 2009.
The Lufthansa-owned carrier will launch a five-times weekly service to Mumbai on October 31, with flight OS35 departing Vienna on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1040, arriving in Mumbai at 2330.
The return leg OS36 will depart Mumbai on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 0145, landing back in Vienna at 0540.
Star Alliance member Austrian says it will also increase its winter services to Delhi this year, with six flights per week compared to five last winter.
The carrier announced it was dropping flights to Mumbai back in October 2008, citing a weakening Indian economy, the crisis in European financial markets, and “drastic overcapacity between European airports and the city”.
