Carlton Hotel Singapore steps out on May 16, 2010, unveiling its new Premier Wing designed by industry veteran Hirsch Bedner Associates.
Adjoining the Main Tower, the extension adds 287 guestrooms to Carlton’s current inventory, transforming it into a 915-room establishment able to cater to a variety of market segments.
Highlights of the Premier Wing are the Premier Club Lounge, the contemporary styled Gravity Bar, the new gym as well as the spa to operate later this year.
Premier rooms features sleek interiors combined with state-of-the-art technology, creating an environment conducive to work and relaxation. Amenities include a roomy glass-topped desk, the iconic Herman Miller chair, extensive programming viewed on an LCD TV, full-length bathtub and Molton Brown toiletries. The 12-inch Posturepedic mattress has been installed to ensure a good night's sleep.
To seamlessly connect the hotel's older main building to its latest feature, the lobby was upgraded and now exudes a modern feel with carefully chosen furnishings such as the Tom Dixon-designed chairs and a custom-made chandelier.
Cafe Vic, well loved by locals for its Singaporean staples, will emerge as Cafe Mosaic on June 1 with a new look but still serving an extensive menu. It has been expanded to take up to 290 guests, and comes with a private room for 30, which is ideal for for business luncheons. LED lighting, a projector and screen are available for such purposes.
Other facilities to be introduced are the Empress Ballroom in the new wing and 15 function spaces.
