Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has increased frequencies to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) due to encouraging passenger loads averaging around 75 percent.
It has now added five flights from Kuala Lumpur to Vietnam's financial hub, bringing the total number of flights to 19 weekly non-stop flights. This is in addition to its daily flights to Hanoi.
MAS is not the only carrier attracted to capitalise on the country's improving economic status and enhanced leisure attractions.
Japanese airline ANA has added two additional flights to go daily between Tokyo and HCMC in the summer schedule. The airline announced the increase to HCMC as part of its international network expansion slated for 2010.
Qatar Airways is another airline, which has expressed its intention to bump up frequencies between Doha-HCMC from its current four to seven weekly.
