Heathrow airport has launched a mobile app offering terminal maps, scheduled flight timetables and the latest retail promotions, and until the end of May travellers can download the premium version for free.
The “Airport Guide” application is available in two versions – a free edition with features including check-in procedures, airport news, terminal maps, shop locations, retail offers, tips on how to pack for trips, and advice on how to book transport to the airport.
The “pro” version includes all of the above, plus the ability to track flight progress, six months of scheduled flight timetables for all airlines at Heathrow, and five-day weather forecasts for over 220 global locations.
The premium edition costs £1.79 per year, but is currently free to download until the end of May. There are versions for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch, Vodafone 360, Google Android, and a Blackberry edition is due to be added soon.
