Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) now links Brunei Darussalam with Shanghai through four services a week.
Flight BI613 operates to the Chinese city on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, departing Bandar Seri Begawan at 10.20am and arriving at Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport at 2.35pm. The return flight BI614 leaves Shanghai at 3.35pm and arrives in the Kingdom at 8.10pm.
Either an Airbus A320 or Boeing B767 aircraft is used on the route.
The new direct flights provide much needed cargo capacity between Shanghai and Brunei and is timely because of the Shanghai World Expo held from May to October 2010, said Riaz Moiz, RBA's executive vice-president of commercial.
