The Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi is poised to open in autumn this year in the Diplomatic Enclave. This is the second hotel in India’s capital for Leela Hotels & Resorts, after the Leela Kempinski Gurgaon, which opened in March 2009 in the emerging satellite hub.
Located on the corner of Africa Avenue and Vinay Marg in Chanakyapuri, the new property is about 20 minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport in non peak hours. It will feature 260 rooms. Deluxe rooms will measure 500sq ft; Royal Suites with their own private pools will measure 1,000sq ft; and the Presidential Suite will measure 4,000sq ft.
Executives staying at the Royal Club floor will enjoy complimentary airport transfers, private lounge and 24-hour butler service.
The hotel will have three restaurants presenting Indian, Italian and Japanese menus, with a fourth serving as the all-day dining venue with an interactive cooking station. Two bars provide intimate spaces for small meetings or just chilling out.
Leisure facilities include The Spa by ESPA consisting of nine treatment rooms, grooming salon, fitness centre and heated rooftop swimming pool.
The 5,500-square-foot grand ballroom will be the stage for meetings and incentive functions.
