Hyatt is to open a 220-room Regency hotel in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, around 1,000km south of Moscow.
The Hyatt Regency Rostov – Don Plaza is due to open in the third quarter of 2011 as part of mixed-use development on Bolshavaya Street, and will be the third Hyatt property in Russia, after the Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg and the Park Hyatt Moscow.
The Rostov hotel will feature an indoor pool, spa, fitness centre, meeting and banqueting space, and “a wide selection of restaurants and bars”.
Rostov-on-Don is located in the southwest corner of Russia, close to the Ukrainian border, and has a population of around 1.3 million. The city is not to be confused with the Russian town of Rostov (also know as Rostov Veliky) a tourist centre located 200km northeast of Moscow.
