Grand Park Orchard, flagship property of the Park Hotel Group, is expecting to make its debut in July of this year, emerging from an S$80 million (US$57 million) make over of the former Park Hotel Orchard.
Calling the 308-room property, “our crown jewel”, the company’s director, Allen Law, said it reflected their aspiration to be “a leading hospitality chain in Asia-Pacific”.
Originally Hongkong based, the group shifted headquarters to Singapore in 2005, and now oversees eight wholly owned and managed hotels with more than 2,500 rooms under the five-star Grand Park and four-star Park Hotel brands in Singapore, China and Japan.
Located along Singapore's iconic Orchard Road, the hotel will be complemented by a four-storey retail podium, Knightsbridge.
Most of the guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and come with amenities such as internet access, a 40-inch Bang & Olufsen LCD TV, Herman Miller designer desk chairs, personal PCs with all-in-one printer, scanner and fax. Corporate guests will enjoy the privileges of the Crystal Club such as entry to the Crystal Club lounge.
The lobby is on level four where the outdoor pool, spa, meeting rooms and F&B outlets – Champagne Bar, all-day dining Open House, Onyx Bar – are also located.
