Emirates has opened a deluxe passenger lounge in India at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, serving First and Business Class passengers as well as Skywards Gold members.
The 650-square-metre facility can accommodate over 100 guests at a time.
Wi-Fi connectivity is available in all areas, while complimentary broadband access is offered at the Business Centre. Other amenities include telephones, flat-screen televisions, designer bathrooms with shower facilities, an extensive collection of international and local newspapers and magazines and massage recliners among others
There is also a 24-hour buffet showcasing Indian, Arabic, Italian and Continental cuisine.
The lounge is the latest addition to Emirates premium on-the-ground services for its frequent flyers. Other services include complimentary chauffeur-drive services, exclusive check-in desks and priority baggage handling.
The airline operates 35 weekly flights between Dubai and Mumbai and an overall, 184 weekly flights to 10 Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.
