The carrier will begin a thrice-weekly flight between Hanoi and Shanghai on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and a four-times-weekly flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
An Airbus 321 aircraft with a two-class configuration – 16 seats on Business Class and 168 seats on Economy Class – will be deployed on the two new services to the Chinese city, host of the 2010 World Expo.
Currently, the airline serves destinations there such as Beijing, Kunming and Guangzhou.
Meanwhile, the carrier also strengthens Vietnam's air links to its neighbour countries in Southeast Asia with its entry into Myanmar. This week, it unveiled its four-times-weekly flight between Hanoi and Yangon. The service uses a Fokker 70 aircraft with a capacity for 79 passengers.
