H10 Hotels debuts in the UK

1 Mar 2010 by BusinessTraveller

Spanish group H10 Hotels has uneviled its first UK property, with a 177-room hotel close to London Waterloo station.

The property is located at the southeast end of Waterloo Road, within walking distance of the mainline and underground terminus. H10 London Waterloo is the group’s first foray into the UK market, and only the second property by the brand outside of Spain, following the opening of the H10 Roma Citta in Italy in 2008. A third overseas hotel is due to open in Berlin later this year.

The new-build London hotel features 144 standard rooms, 32 deluxe rooms and one suite with views of the London Eye and city skyline. There is free wifi throughout, and rooms feature media hubs with iPod and PC connections, and toiletries by Textures Collection.

Other facilities include Circus Bar, Three O Two restaurant, the eighth-floor Despacio Beauty Centre (literally translating as “Slow”), with sauna, fitness centre, and a hydromassage shower, and four meeting rooms accommodating up to 55 delegates.

H10 currently operates 40 hotels in 14 destinations predominantly in Spain, with three properties under the Ocean by H10 brand in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) and Riviera Maya (Mexico).

The H10 brand is the second offering from the Iberian Peninsula to debut in the UK this week, with Portugese group Pestana Hotels and Resorts unveiling its first London property close to Chelsea Bridge (see online news February 24).
