The Imperial hotel in New Delhi has launched the “Eliza” programme, a collection of rooms designed especially for the “single lady traveller”.

The twelve rooms at the luxury hotel are all located off one corridor of the hotel, equipped with CCTV and room door cameras. In-room facilities include a manicure set, women’s magazine, flower arrangements, “special linen”, female staff assistance and a screening process for all telephone calls.

The Imperial, New Delhi dates back to 1931 and features a total of 223 rooms and 43 suites. Located on the Janpath close to Connaught Place, the hotel is said to feature the largest collection of colonial and post-colonial artefacts in the city, including paintings, lithographs, sculptures and murals.
