Jumeirah to open Bangkok hotel

3 Feb 2010 by BusinessTraveller

Luxury hotel chain Jumeirah is to open a property in the Thai capital, although interested travellers have a while to wait as the hotel isn’t slated to open until 2014.

The 305-room “urban resort”will be located on the Bangkok’s Chao Phraya river, close to Sathorn Bridge and the city’s central business district. The hotel will be the centrepiece of a mixed-use development, with features including a Talise spa, an art gallery, a conference centre with 1,200sqm ballroom, “signature F&B outlets”, and retail units.

The Bangkok property is the latest in a number of forthcoming hotels announced by the Dubai-based hotel chain, with other destinations including Hangzhou, Panama and Frankfurt.
