Low-cost carrier Tiger Airways has launched twice-daily flights between Singapore and Hongkong, joining four other carriers operating on the route.
The subsidiary of Singapore Airlines will be competing with its mother company, Cathay Pacific Airways, United and fellow budget airline Jetstar for business between the two Asian economic dragons.
The first flight, TR924 leaves Singapore at 0755 and arrives Hongkong at 1135, allowing business travellers the rest of the day for appointments. Return flight TR925 leaves Hongkong at 1225 and arrives in Singapore at 1600. The second flight, TR946 departs Singapore at 1635 and arrives in Hongkong at 2020, with the return flight TR947 departing at 2050 and arriving at home base at 0025.
Hongkong is Tiger Airways’ fifth Greater China destination, following Macau, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Haikou.
