27 Jan 2010

Passengers at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) may be in danger of missing their flights now that Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) units have been installed.

The video-gaming poles are located airside near gates 2, 15, 41 and 60 and the food court on level six of Terminal 2, and landside in front of 7-Eleven on level 5 in Terminal 1 and four locations in Terminal 2. The menu will delight avid gamers with selections such as Assassin's Creed 2, Final Fantasy XIII and Uncharted 2:Among Thieves as well as the game version of the recent James Cameron blockbuster, Avatar.

People can use the machines for free and for as long as they wish.

With an average four-hour wait in between flights at HKIA, airport authorities have been beefing up facilities to help pass the time in a more entertaining ways.
