Marriott opens second hotel in Suzhou

Marriott has opened its second property in Suzhou, providing business travellers a convenient base when visiting the city’s new high-tech development zone.

Situated in an ideal downtown area, the Suzhou Marriott Hotel is also located near the Suzhou Government and Administrative  Service Centre, and has easy access to both Suzhou International Expo Centre and China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park.

The 302-room property is designed as a prime venue for meetings and business events with its 1,579sqm of flexible space, consisting of of 13 meeting rooms and a 464sqm ballroom that can hold up to 450 people.

Other public spaces such as The Lounge can also cater for casual business meetings, while Man Ho – one of hotel’s three signature restaurants – has five private rooms for exclusive business luncheons and dinners.

For recreation, facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre equipped with the latest cardio machines and strength training gear as well as Marriott’s signature Quan Spa.

As an introductory offer, Suzhou Marriott Hotel has a special nightly rate of CNY788 (US$115) for a deluxe accommodation, including complimentary internet access and breakfast buffet for two. This package is valid until March 31, 2010.

The opening of the hotel expands Marriott’s portfolio in the city, which includes the 380-room Renaissance Suzhou Hotel. A third addition, 267-room Courtyard by Marriott Suzhou is expected to open later this year.
