11 Jan 2010 by AndrewGough

Radisson Blu, Madrid PradoRezidor Hotel Group has opened the doors to the Radisson Blu, Madrid Prado, its first property in the Spanish capital.

The Radisson-branded hotel, situated opposite Madrid’s Prado Museum and adjacent to the Caixa-Forum cultural centre, has 54 guest rooms in a modern décor. Each room comes with free high-speed internet access.

The Madrid Prado also has a spa, indoor pool, steam room and gym, but for the less health-conscious there’s a Whiskey Bar with more than 20 single malts, located in the hotel’s main courtyard.

Guests have a number of dinner options – The Cask restaurant and grill serves a varied menu while cocktails and tapas are available from the hotel’s lounge bar.

Meetings facilities include a 45sqm conference area which according to a hotel representaive can accommodate up to 45 delegates theatre-style, and can be divided into three 17sqm boardrooms, or joined with an inbuilt bar to double the available space to around 90sqm. Free internet is available to all meeting delegates, as well as in the guest rooms.

Rezidor now has more than 380 properties in operation or currently under construction. In December Rezidor announced it would rebrand the Chedi Milan as a Radisson Blu later this year (see online news December 14), making it the second Radisson-branded hotel in Italy.
