AirAsia adds extra flights for Chinese New Year

AirAsia has increased flight frequencies in popular routes across Asia to meet strong passenger traffic during the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday.

The extra flights will apply to routes such as Kuala Lumpur-Penang, Kuala Lumpur-Singapore, Kuala Lumpur-Sibu, Kuala Lumpur-Kuching, Singapore-Kuching and more.

The added flights will be rolled out during the travel period between February 9 and February 21.

"This year's Lunar New Year happens to fall on Valentine's Day so couples have another excuse to hop on the plane and go on their romanic escapades with low fares," said Kathleen Tan, Airasia's regional head of commercial, in a statement.

To add value to its customers, AirAsia has put together several online hotel deals to help travellers stretch their budget. Through its GoHoliday website, the airline is offering travellers packaged accommodation with their airfare. GoHoliday provides a room options from over 50,000 hotels.
