Online check-in voted "innovation of the decade" by business travellers

5 Jan 2010 by Mark Caswell

Online check-in and wifi internet access have been voted among  the “business travel innovations of the decade” in a recent survey of 2,400 corporate travellers.

Commissioned by next month’s Business Travel and Meetings Show (BTMS) at Earls Court, the survey revealed online check-in as business travellers’ favourite innovation of the last decade, followed by wifi, airline flat beds, notebooks and the Eurostar.

The survey also asked repondents what innovations would “enhance their their enjoyment of business travel”, with faster airport security, check-in and immigration processes topping the list ahead of “a miracle child silencer”, supersonic aircraft, carbon free travel and in-flight wifi.

BTMS will be presenting the annual Innovation Awards, recognising those business travel & meetings suppliers who create highly innovative products, services and processes. For more information visit businesstravelshow.co.uk.

Business Traveller will also be presenting our annual Cellars in the Sky Awards at BTMS, celebrating the best wines served on long-haul flights in business and first class. More information will be available on this site over the next few weeks.
