Update: Weather continues to disrupt flights

22 Dec 2009 by BusinessTraveller

Poor weather conditions are continuing to disrupt flights throughout the UK, particularly in Scotland.

All the major UK airports are operational as of 1630 today (Tuesday December 22), but several Scottish facilities are reporting delays and cancellations:

Glasgow airport

Glasgow Airport is open. However, due to heavy snow and icy conditions across the UK, flights to and from the airport may be subject to delays and cancellations. Passengers are advised to check with their airline before travelling to the airport.

Aberdeen airport

Poor weather is causing considerable delays and cancellations out of
Aberdeen Airport. Passengers are being advised to contact their airline
directly before arriving at the terminal.

Edinburgh airport

Flights to and from Edinburgh may be disrupted today due to bad weather. Passengers should check the status of their flight with their airline.

Other UK airports are warning of delays caused by adverse weather conditions at destination airports in Europe and the US. Easyjet has published a list of cancelled flights as of 1645 today (December 22), which can be seen here. Ryanair has also published updated information as of 1530 today, which can be seen here.
