Accor website adds iPhone feature

7 Dec 2009

Accor has made its website, www.accorhotels.com, available to iPhone users with an application that lets them search and book rooms through their device.

The new software allows iPhone users access to the chain's 3,000 hotels worldwide, with brands such as Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Mercure, Novotel, Suitehotel, Adagio, ibis, all seasons, Etap Hotel, Formule 1 and hotelF1.

Available in five languages - English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, it can be downloaded at www.itunes.com/app/accorhotels

Developed by mobile software provider Haiku, the application takes advantage of Apple's user-friendly browsing capabilities. Tapping the device's geolocation feature, it allows iPhone users to search for the nearest hotel and calculate itineraries in real time.

The application also provides access to Accor's promotional offers and includes a personalised service that saves current reservations and favourite hotels. Most importantly, it has secure payment processing to safeguard online booking done through the iPhone.
