From now until the end of February 2010, Starwood Hotels & Resorts is running the “You Choose” meetings promotion that allows event organisers to choose three rewards out of ten based on their event needs.
“It helps to stretch the meeting dollars and at the same time thank corporate clients for their continued support,” said Alison Taylor, Starwod vice-president for sales in Asia-Pacific, adding that event organisers “enjoy savings and earn some extra rewards”.
The You Choose promotion is patterned after a similar programme for SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) members, which ran in 2008. SPG is Starwood’s loyalty programme for frequent visitors.
The 10 rewards to choose from are:
- Double complimentary room allocation
- Double complimentary room upgrade allocation
- Complimentary suites upgrades
- Free internet access in guestrooms
- Free internet access in meeting rooms
- A 10 percent saving on the meeting package
- Free welcome reception
- Menu upgrades
- Double Starwood Preferred Planner points
- A complimentary room prize vouchers.
Meetings booked before December 31, 2009 get to choose an extra reward, bringing the number of sweeteners to four. All meetings reserved under the You Choose promotion must be held by July 31, 2010.
Furthermore, event organisers will enjoy 2,500 Starpoints for booking 25 room nights. If the group size of the event is reduced not less than three weeks before the arrival date, they can reduce the room block up to 25 percent without penalty.
The incentive is available for booking in popular meeting destinations, such as China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Participating brands include aloft, Westin, Sheraton, St Regis, The Luxury Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, W and Le Meredien.
