Melia Luxembourg opens for business

Melia LuxembourgThe Melia Luxembourg has joined the list of recent openings for hotel and luxury resort group Sol Melia.

The four-star hotel, located in Luxembourg’s Place de l' Europe, offers 161 guestrooms on eight floors plus one top-floor “Grand Suite”.

Each room comes with satellite TV, a high speed internet connection and beds and mattresses specially made for Melia Hotels. Guests can also choose from an “extensive” pillow menu.

Guests opting for Melia’s “Level” package also get free internet, breakfast, use of the Level lounge with free snacks and refreshments and use of the hotel’s boardroom.

Common facilities include a gym, sauna and Turkish steam bath, all free of charge for guests. There’s also wifi internet in all public areas, and a babysitter and doctor on request.

Aqua, the hotel’s main terraced restaurant, serves modern Italian and nouvelle cuisine while the smaller Terra cafeteria offers coffees with views of Luxembourg’s Mudam museum.

Meetings and conference facilities include two rooms able with room for 150 delegates in total.

Melia said the hotel’s proximity to Luxembourg’s Congress Centre, EU buildings and cultural attractions made it ideal for business and leisure travellers.

“The hotel’s design is a gem of contemporary architecture within the Luxembourg City skyline, designed by renowned architect Jim Clemens,” Melia added.

The Melia Luxembourg is the latest to joins Melia’s  European portfolio, with other recent openings in Bilbao, Berlin and Varna in Bulgaria.
