Continental to relocate at Paris and Barcelona

Continental Airlines has today (November 9) announced it is to shift operations at both Paris Charles de Gualle and Barcelona Airport followings its move to Star Alliance.

Continental will relocate to Barcelona’s Terminal 1 from Terminal 2B on November 10 from where it will continue to serve New York Newark.

A week later, Continental will move from Paris CDG Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 where most of its fellow Star Alliance member airlines are currently based.

Continental has been engaged in several airport relocations since it switched to Star Alliance from Rival Skyteam in October, including moves at Frankfurt and Tokyo Narita.

The Star Alliance group now has three US carriers, including United and US Airways. Rival alliances Skyteam and Oneworld have one US airline each.
