Air China and Continental enter frequent flyer pact

3 Nov 2009

Passengers of Air China and Continental Airlines will benefit from a new frequent flyer programme agreement.

Air China Phoenix Miles members can now earn miles which can be redeemed for future trips and upgrades on all flights run by their US partner. Likewise, Continental OnePass members are entitled to reciprocal perks on all flights operated by their Chinese counterpart.

Since 2005, Air China has been aggressively growing its Mainland China-US route network with services from Beijing to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago that have been enhanced over time. Also in 2005, Continental started up daily Newark-Beijing flights, and last March, added daily direct flights between Shanghai and New York.
