Dean Street Townhouse in the heart of London’s Soho area is set to open its doors next month.
The Georgian-period hotel and restaurant will offer 39 bedrooms, a 120-seat dining room and a smaller 16-seat private dining room, all decorated in a “traditional English” style.
Dean Street, once home to London’s Gargoyle Club, joins the Soho House Group (SHG) which first began life with one private members’ club in 1995. SHG said the rooms and restaurant would “draw on the building’s Georgian heritage” but with 21st century conveniences.
According to SHG the bedrooms will come in “medium, small and tiny” and will feature traditional design touches such as high ceilings and reclaimed wood flooring.
Room prices start from £95 per night and each comes with a shower, antique bath and 24-hour room service.
SHG’s most recent opening was Cecconi’s in Los Angeles in February this year. Future openings include the Soho House Berlin in May 2010.
