Hilton Worldwide is to open a Garden Inn property in Samara, southern Russia. The 195-room hotel will be the sixth Hilton property in the country.
Due to open in 2012, the Hilton Garden Inn Samara will feature signature Garden Inn facilities such as a 24-hour business centre and free wifi, as well as two flexible meeting rooms.
The hotel will be located within walking distance of the city’s central train station, close to the main historical, cultural and administrative centre. Samara is Russia’s sixth largest city with over one million inhabitants, and is situated around 1,000km south east of Moscow on the River Volga.
Hilton is steadily growing its presence in Russia, having opened it first property, the Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya last year (see online news August 27, 2008). Since then the group has opened a Garden Inn hotel in Perm, and has three Doubletree properties in the pipeline.
