IHG (InterContinental Hotel Group) has increased its Holiday Inn portfolio to seven members with the launch of the Holiday Inn Pattaya. Travel time to the resort, located on the popular Beach Road, from Suvarnabhumi Airport is about 90 minutes and from central Bangkok, about 120 minutes.
"Pattaya is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Thailand, and to open a hotel that features all elements of the refreshed Holiday Inn brand here is a great opportunity for us to showcase what the new Holiday Inn has to offer," said Jan Smits, managing director, IHG Asia Australasia. The well-known mid-scale hotel chain continues to roll out refurbished or purpose built products following the latest generation template.
The new 367-room property with ocean-facing balconies enjoys sweeping views of Pattaya Bay with its
ocean-facing balconies. Targetting both leisure and business travellers, it offers full wireless internet access as well as extensive meetings and recreational amenities such as a fully-equipped gym, three outdoor infinity pools and the Tea Tree Spa. Among its five F&B outlets are a retro-Cuban lounge and a modern Italian restaurant.
Those with a young children will find a family-friendly atmosphere with its "Kids Eat Free" facilities, special suites for children, kiddie pool and the Kid's Club that provides games and activities.
