Novotel Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, which marks the Accor Group's entry into Taiwan, is expected to open in November with 360 rooms. It joins the growing number of airport-located hotels (see related story here) around the region.
Situated in Taoyuan County, the property is 40 minutes away from downtown Taipei and near to the Aviation Museum Park (popular with local residents) and the Taoyuan Stadium.
Accommodation comes in the Standard, Premier and Suite categories, with the last two enjoying access to the Premier Lounge that offers complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails among others. Said Evan Lewis, Accor vice-president, communication Asia-Pacific: "The new generation of Novotel guestrooms has been installed, blending a mix of efficient use of space, contemporary design and smart guest technologies".
Dining options include the Chinese restaurant, Made in China, an all-day dining outlet, Square One and three bars.
With meeting space for up to 750 attendees, this new Novotel will be actively pursuing the meetings sector, a hotel spokesperson said. Besides the grand ballroom, there are five other breakout rooms, which can take from 12 to 22 persons. The Meetings@Novotel team are on hand to coordinate future events.
Wi-Fi, besides being available in the guestrooms, is also found in the public areas and function rooms.
Novotel Taoyuan is not the first airport address for the brand in Asia-Pacific. There is a Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel in Thailand and Novotel Citygate near the Hongkong International Airport.
