Jetstar offers more mobile services

It just gotten easier for customers in Singapore, Japan, Australia and New Zealand to book or purchase fares on low-cost carrier Jetstar.

By accessing www.jetstar.com from either an iPhone or regular internet enabled mobile handset, they can perform these functions no matter where they are. “This will be a valuable tool for our passengers who are seeking increased flexibility in how they choose to book their travel,” said the airline’s CEO Bruce Buchanan. “This is an important stepping stone in our initiatives to improve our mobile user experience.”

Jetstar.com is accessible to over 3,000 types of mobile devises, ranging from PDAs such the iPhone 3G and BlackBerry to standard feature phones.

Jetstar has for some time been actively courting the corporate market, setting itself apart from the competition, offering a Business Class product called Star Class.
