Lufthansa takes care of customers in Frankfurt and Munich hubs

2 Aug 2009

Lufthansa passengers in need of assistance at Frankfurt or Munich airports can avail of the newly launched Lufthansa Guide Service.

Helping travellers in 50 languages, these trained staff will:

• Collect passengers straight from the gate and accompany them to check in, boarding gates and baggage claim, plus restaurants, hotel shuttle bus, car rental companies and other desired locations around the terminal.

• Answer queries about procedures, routes, security regulations and travel documents.

• Families on Lufthansa will be helped by the Family Service Guides, who makes travel especially by single parents with youngsters or families from overseas much more convenient and stress free. They will organise luggage trolleys and help retrieve bags from the carousel. They can also keep an eye on the children or show the way to play areas, baby changing rooms or shops for provisions if required. They can also guide older family members and attend to their needs such as securing a seat or estimating the time needed to reach a certain gate.

These services must be booked between four and seven days in advance with a travel agent or by calling the service centre at 49 18 05 805 805. Depending on the number of passengers, a fee starting from E50 (US$70) to E400 (US$562) will be charged.
