Kingfisher breaks into the UAE market

29 Jun 2009

Kingfisher Airlines has launched its first daily service to Dubai from Bangalore, its first foray into the Emirates Airline-dominated United Arab Emirates.

The airline uses an Airbus A320 aircraft that can seat up to 174 passengers at a time in what Kingfisher calls its “premium economy class”.

Passengers can take a maximum of 40kg of check-in luggage and up to 10kg of carry-on luggage on flights in both directions.

Daily flights leave Bangalore at 6.15pm and reach Dubai at 8.55pm before a return flight leaves Dubai 10.10pm and arrives in Bangalore at 3.45am the next day.

Dubai is Kingfisher’s fourth international destination after London, Colombo and Dhaka, and the airline is looking at flying to Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Hongkong, Singapore and Nepal in future.
