Ryanair passengers take note: you will not be able to check in for your flight during a ten-hour period next week, as the airline closes its website for “essential upgrade maintenance”.
The site will be shut for passenger booking and other passenger services between 1900 hours on Wednesday June 24 and 0500 hours on Thursday June 25. Ryanair is advising passengers travelling on the Thursday in question to check in online before 1800 on Wednesday June 24.
The website shutdown is of relevance to most Ryanair passengers, as the budget carrier is in the process of removing all airport check-in desks, forcing travellers to check in online.
Those passengers who booked their tickets before May 21 (when new restrictions came into force) will still be able to use airport check-in facilities, although they will face a hefty charge to do so.
