Langham Hotels International (LHI) has announced its plans for two of its Langham Place hotels, both due to open in 2010 in China.
To target business travellers, trade fair visitors and event organisers, Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport is situated adjacent to the new Terminal 3 of the Beijing international airport and minutes away from the China International Exhibition Centre, as well as the Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone.
The six-storey property will open in May 2010, featuring 372 bedroom and suites, restaurants, a bar and grill, Langham Place’s Portal Bar, over 5,000 sqm of function space and catering service, and the Chuan Spa (based on Traditional Chinese Medicine).
Langham Place, EDZ, Guangzhou, located in the Guangzhou Economic Development Zone (EDZ) in the Luogang District, is LHI’s first expansion into South East China.
Targeted at business travellers, the new hotel will feature 320 modern rooms and suites, the Chuan Spa, Langham Place’s Portal Bar concept – the combination of the lobby lounge and business centre, western and eastern cuisine options, a ballroom and function rooms for both large and small events.
Florence Chan, director of public relations China, said that the two new hotels will greatly benefit business travellers. “Meeting and conference space is the key component of this two hotels. For the Beijing Capital Airport one, they have the biggest conference center in that area,” she said.
The two properties are currently under construction and will be launched in 2010. On the other hand, LHI is developing other expansion plans that target 15 operational properties in China in the next 5 years.
