Virgin to refurbish Gatwick Clubhouse

5 Jun 2009 by Mark Caswell

Virgin’s Clubhouse at Gatwick airport will close for several months from the start of September, to allow for refurbishment works to take place.

The lounge will be shut from September 1 until November 30, during which time Upper Class passengers will be eligible to use the V Room facility (the carrier’s South Terminal lounge for Virgin Holiday leisure customers), while Flying Club Gold card holders will be able to use “The Lounge” facilities within the same terminal.

Virgin says free food and drinks will be available at both lounges, but that neither of the facilities offer showers.

The carrier has not yet published details of the refurbished lounge, but says that it looks forward to welcoming passengers back to a “wonderfully improved Clubhouse in December”.
