Privilege, Brussels Airlines' frequent flyer programme, will be replaced by Lufthansa’s Miles and More loyalty scheme as of October.
Privilege miles will be transferred into Miles and More miles and current Privilege card holders will receive an equivalent member status within Miles and More.
Privilege members will first need to join the Miles and More programme, after which their miles will be transferred. Gold Privilege members will gain Frequent Traveller status within Miles and More, and Platinum Privilege members will receive Senator status. The validity of the miles earned will be extended by three years and the members’ status by two years.
All newly-registered members will receive their new frequent flyer card in September and will be able to start taking advantage of any benefits, such as special deals with partners, as of the end of October. Miles will be transferred in early November.
In the future, Brussels Airlines will be the point of contact for all Miles and More members and partners in Belgium. The integration is part of the ongoing acquisition of Brussels Airlines by Lufthansa (see online news March 25)
