Budget hotel brand Premier Inn has opened its second property in Dubai, with a third hotel due to open at Dubai International airport later this year.
The Premier Inn Dubai Silicon Oasis is located close to the crossroads of Emirates Road and Al Ain Road, just south of the Silicon Oasis headquarters. The hotel features 230 rooms, free wifi throughout, and a rooftop swimming pool and whirlpool bath.
The Silicon Oasis hotel joins the Premier Inn Dubai Inverstments Park, with a third Dubai property due at Dubai International airport in December 2009, and further hotels slated for Dubai and Abu Dhabi in 2010.
A recent report in middle eastern newspaper Gulf News says that budget hotels will control 10 per cent of the market in three years. Easyhotels plans to open a property in Dubai before the end of this year, and IHG's Holiday Inn Express brand already has a hotel located within Dubai's Internet City.
